Women Beyond Borders is a transnational and transgenerational exhibition and art-making project that since 1991 has promoted exchange and dialogue between women artists from more than 50 countries, with varying levels of artistic experience and education. Its multimedia collection boasts more than 900 items, all of which contain a simple small wooden box, be it in construction or concept. In 2023, founder Lorraine Serena generously gifted this expansive collection, alongside the Women Beyond Borders archives of videos, photographs, slides, catalogs, and ephemera, to the AD&A Museum.
